Facial redness: identifying the trigger

Heat, spice, products, emotions. A week of notes teaches more than three creams.
Passing or established redness
Redness that appears then fades within an hour is vascular and reversible. Permanent redness with visible small vessels calls for a dermatologist.
The distinction matters: the first is managed with habits, the second with treatment.
The most frequent triggers
Temperature swings, very hot water, spicy food, alcohol, and above all fragranced or alcohol-based products. Dry winter cold is another major factor.
Noting what precedes each flare for a week identifies the culprit faster than any product trial.

Soothing without irritating
Short formulas, fragrance-free, rich in panthenol or ceramides. Set acids and scrubs aside while the skin is reacting.
And sun protection remains essential: UV worsens vascular reactivity, making skin more sensitive with each summer.
