What people actually type when looking for skincare

Searches do not mention ingredients: they mention problems. What that changes for a shop.
Symptoms, not molecules
Nobody searches for “5% niacinamide”. They search for “dark spots on face”, “peeling skin”, “chin breakouts”. The vocabulary is that of the lived problem.
For a shop, that means sorting by ingredient is useless on the shelf: sort by need, the way the customer thinks.

Comparative questions dominate
“X or Y”, “does it work”, “before after”: most searches are trying to decide between two options, not to discover a product.
A salesperson who can explain the difference between two formulas in one sentence closes far more often than one reciting an active list.

Season drives demand
Searches about dark spots spike at the end of summer; those about dry hands and chapped lips in winter. Demand is predictable to within a few weeks.
Stock aligned to that calendar sells at full price; stock that arrives late ends up discounted.
