What customers in Morocco are actually looking for

Three requests come back constantly in shops. Knowing them changes what you stock.
1. “Something for dark spots”
This is the number one request, and it often follows a pregnancy or a summer. It covers three different realities — post-acne marks, sun spots, melasma — with very different timelines.
The right reflex in a shop is to ask before selling: how long has it been there? A recent mark responds in months; established melasma needs consistency and strict sun protection.

2. “My skin always feels tight”
Very common, and almost always about cleansing rather than a lack of cream. Hard water and harsh soaps damage the barrier; the customer compensates with a richer cream without addressing the cause.
Changing the wash gel often solves it within a week — and it is a regularly repurchased product, so worth shelf space.

3. “One product for the whole family”
Budget decides. A large format usable from face to feet, for adults and children, sells better than three specialised products — even if the unit margin is lower.
The buying logic is price per millilitre and repurchase frequency, not the margin shown on a single unit.
